Caries Control
When we talk about caries control, we are talking about controlling the development of dental decay, or cavities. Caries control is often a focus for our younger patients.

How can I help my child avoid the development of dental decay?
At Fort Malden Dentistry, we pride ourselves on helping our smallest patients maintain a healthy smile!
Consistent professional examinations and cleanings are essential to maintain exceptional dental health as children grow. Also, in order to help prevent childhood cavities, we offer fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and individualized advice for children’s dental hygiene routines.
How often should my child have a dental checkup?
Usually, a child should have a professional cleaning and examination every six months. However, depending on a variety of factors, some of our younger patients should visit our office more frequently to maintain optimal oral health.
